CALL FOR POSTER ABSTRACTS -
Deadline for submission is Wednesday, April 19th


Peoria NEXT is all about the Discovery, Innovation and Commercialization of new technologies. We know that’s the way for Central Illinois to become a highly desired location for new technology-based businesses.

Collaboration is a key element of getting this job done, so we’re hosting the All-Science Assembly. Because collaboration is a key element of getting your job done, you’ll want to attend. By leveraging the knowledge and capabilities of others you’ll build your perspective, experience, techniques … and success.
  • Learn what scientists and engineers in our region are doing
  • Share your work
  • Network with professionals from a variety of disciplines
  • Discuss ongoing research projects, challenges and successes
  • Discover the POWER OF COLLABORATION

This unique event features:
  • The presentation of research posters to the regional scientific community
  • A keynote presentation by Dr. Martina Newell-McGloughin, Director of the University of California System-wide Biotechnology Research and Education Program
  • Updates from previous Peoria NEXT seed-grant recipients concerning their collaborative research projects

SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT TODAY!
RESEARCH PRESENTED WITHIN THE LAST YEAR IS WELCOME

  • Cost is $10 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. A cash bar for mixed drinks will also be available.
  • Poster presentations will highlight individual research projects, group research efforts or organizations.
  • Space is limited, so posters will be generally accepted on a first come first serve basis with an attempt to ensure even distribution between institutions.
  • Electronic abstracts of 250 words or less should be submitted to David Kendra at kendrad@ncaur.usda.gov. The subject line of the email should clearly identify the message as a “Peoria NEXT poster abstract”. Specific questions concerning the abstracts, poster design or meeting should also be addressed to David Kendra.
  • The document should include the poster title, contributing authors, and institutional affiliation(s).
  • The Word document file should be formatted in Times New Roman, font size 11.
  • Poster space will be 4’ x 4’ or 4’ x 8’. Please indicate which size you prefer in the email.
